Why Would Windows Think an HDD is an SSD?
I recently changed an SSD for a large HDD, but Windows still seems to think that the new drive is an SSD. Does anyone know why this has happened and what I should do to correct the problem?

Hello @davefaz,
Out of interest can you post a screen shot of Disk Management.
Upload => How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums.
I hope this helps!
Hi, the answer here seemed to work:
hard drive - I cloned my SSD to a HDD, but Windows still thinks its solid state - Super User
Did you in fact clone your SSD to the HDD?
What's the make and model of the new HDD?
That could end some speculation.
