I carnt tell from the video the only way to know is goto the disk makers website download their free test software for their drives and this will tell you if its going fauty
Hi Samuria, thanks for the replay, can you hear the noise? i hope the video sound is clear, can you refer me to the right link or website, for me i am using Western Digital 1TB Green Since 2012 and i am not noticing any slowness when navigating through the files just sometimes some delay but i guess it's normal, i had like days when everything on my PC Freeze expect the mouse and the keyboard, i was told it was from the HDD going to sleep i really have no clue
It's indeed very difficult to correctly hear the sound as I can't be sure if the first sounds are coming from your hard drive or your hand on the recording device. But in general if you are hearing a sound from your hard drive that you were not hearing before you have all reasons to be worried. First step for me would be to backup important data on another drive in case something is really wrong with this one. Next step is to get S.M.A.R.T and diagnostic software from manufacture site. But I would backup before starting to test.
Normally if you hear mechanical sound like metallic object hitting or strange spinning sounds you should be worried. What you call cockroach sound can be the hard disk head sound on a fragmented disk. But again you need to run a diagnostic tool and backup important data if you have a way to do that.

i use to run this program and everytime i check it's the same values, actually i guess this time "Pending Sectors" are less they use to be 5 if i remember correctly, cause i used to have 2 HDD one i unplugged it because i was afraid so i stored on it some of my important data and unplugged it i don't know if it will be fine if i don't use it much or it can be corrupted even if it's not running,
just a question for the program that you shared with is it gonna delete my personal data? i read all the steps are fine except for the Erase that it will be write zeros, but what about the others are they safe to run without loosing data? thanks in advance.
Yes I thought also that first sound was your hand and the second sound didn't seem bad to me! but still hard to say from distance. The program I gave you the link is from WD and safe to use. The Erase option you saw is ONLY if YOU choose to erase your disk. But you don't want to use that! Only thing you need to do for now is to perform the quick test and see what result you are getting.
For the unplugged HDD it's fine BUT by experience you don't want to keep a hard disk unplugged for a very long time. Mechanical drives also depend on ointment and a little spinning every now and then keep them more alive then not turning them on for too long.

I see a raw value for "UltraDMA CRC Error Count".
There's a good chance it's corrosion on the HDD board, a known WD problem!
thanks cause when i tried to run Quick test, it gave me a warning window saying: "Please close any other open programs and any open files in the drive (C: E: F: G:) to prevent data loss"

What are you meaning "dangerous" - physically as to a human, or to your system?
In the case of the latter, yes it certainly is. I would be backing up my personal data immediately. Worst case scenario, I would be checking that I have a note of all passwords, and also serial/license numbers for any relevant software programs that might require re-installation on a new drive.
