TV tuner Aver TD310 - black screen

since I've purchased this USB TV tuner Aver TD310 more than a year ago, I wasn't able to make it work properly. When I turn on my PC and run AverTV application, mostly it shows just a black window, with EPG information in top right corner. Surprisingly the EPG shows the correct name of a show that is supposed to be played, but there is no picture, nor sound. When I unplug the USB dongle and put it back, it starts to work correctly. Just occasionally it works straight, without the need of replugging. I have tried to plug it to various USB ports on my PC, both front and back ones. I've disabled the option "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the device manager for the USB ports. I've used the dongle both with and without extension cable. Nothing helps. I have no idea what else should I try to make it work.
My current Windows version is 1909. I have MSI Z170A-G43 PLUS motherboard.

If the TV card is still supported then go to the Aver website to get the latest versions of its hardware driver & operating software.

If the TV card is not supported any more then go to the Aver website & any user forum they host and dig around for guidance.

I once had the same problem with a TerraTec TV tuner after a Windows 7 update. TerraTec issued a patch to correct it but also advised users to switch to using DVBViewer.
    - I have been using DVBViewer since then and it is a very good application with good support.
    - My TV tuners are a mixture of Hauppauge & KWorld** but the only thing I ever need from them is their hardware driver. [** They stopped providing support years ago but their hardware driver still works]

DVBViewer does provide a free 'demo' version that you might make good use of.
    - If your normal software has a black screen just close the software but do not unplug the TV card dongle
    - Run DVBViewer.
    - - If it works you will know it is an operating software problem.
    - - If DVBViewer has the same problem then you could suspect a driver problem.

I have not mentioned anything about your normal display driver but it would not hurt for you to go to your computer maker / display card maker & reinstall your display driver.
    - While you are on your computer maker's website, you could also check for any updated Bios.

    Best of luck,
