    Windows Update Optional Driver Updates

Lately Windows has been offering a couple of drivers for hardware I dont have on my Insider machine. They say I have a Xeon E3 when I dont (its a Skylake 6700k). Is there a way to get these cleared? Version 19635.1.

It looks like your Skylake is part of the Xeon family. I'd get the free SPECCY to get more information about yours.

Yes. Those are chipset updates. I am pretty sure if you open Device Manager -> System Devices you will find you already have some drivers with Xeon name on it.

The Xeon label comes from the way Intel names devices and their drivers. Thus, my Skylake PC also shows Xeon drivers under the System devices heading, to wit:

It's nothing to worry about, just part of the strange and wonderful ways of Intel and its chipset drivers.

What @EdTittel said recalls to mind back in the 80486 days of computer building that Intel wanted to copyright/trademark the 80586 but found a number couldn't be done so they gave that CPU the name of Pentium.
