    Iphone greyed out


    I cannot backup my iphone 6s on my Lenovo X1? My ipod mini connects fine, I can even update teh software on the iPhone, but not sync?

    I have tried restarting the Apple Mobile Device Manager, but on my version setup it does not exist. The iPhone had been syncing properly. The only change that could have affected it is using a third party software (iMazing) for backup and then decided it was not a good choice for this setup.

    Advice on tracking down the issue appreciated.

    First I would recommend that you start Imaging your system with a FREE tool like Macrium Reflect. Then you could restore back to a working machine.

    In the mean time I would uninstall iTunes. Then get a fresh copy and install it. Hopefully it will take control back from what ever iMazing did.

    iTunes backs up phone to computer or iCloud. Was it not working. I back up regularly and restored twice no issues.
