    i inserted new RAM [32GB DDR2 used chips ECC] but rather 32GB shows usable 24GB is RAM malfunction????? on boot i get error slot 2...well?

    From the second screenshot in post #1 this would seem significant....

    Try reseating the RAM in slot 2.

    Swap the RAM module in slot 2 with one of the others if the warning then changes to the new slot then that would indicate an out of spec/faulty RAM module.

    If the warning is still related to the same slot then a MOBO problem.

    Seems to be around 12 years old, so nearing EOL.

    I had trouble when I tried to use all 4 memory slots on my desktop. I forget if 2 slots weren't recognized or the computer wouldn't boot. Most suggestions was that I might have a bent pin on the CPU. I decided that with my old eyes I was better off leaving it alone.
