1909 has a BIOS firmware update feature built into the Device Manager

    Just a quick little note....

The Device Manager will now update your motherboard BIOS firmware just like any other driver

Nice because it works well in my limited experience (twice) and takes all the trepidation of possible bricking your motherboard because you updated the BIOS

Before this update it showed only 3 cores, now it shows all 12 threads

Strange that they left it out in Version 2004 Build 19041.264 I upgraded my BIOS and Firmware through Hewlett Packard manually.

Sorry but that's nothing to do with version 1909. Its existence is dependent on the hardware concerned.

On one computer I've had the Device manager, Firmware entry since I bought it in December 2016.

    BIOS update feature = scary.

Always use the vendor's website keyed to your system/motherboard.

It still would have been convenient though.

I would agree but this is not the Bios.
This is my Device manager, Firmware entry alongside my Bios version produced by a WMI vbs script.

Probably is a hardware related feature.... My BIOS is American Megatrends on an Acer motherboard

May be code incorporated in some but not all BIOS

I'm glad you agree with me, it has nothing to do with Version 1909.

I also have the Firmware update entry, 1909 but also an Acer motherboard so must be Acer feature exposed to the OS.
