When available please upload the Sea Tools for Windows long generic test results for the second drive.
For any drive in which there were problems > post images into the thread
Ok, that'll probably take me the entire week though - I have an 8TB and two more 5TB's to do. I'll start on that tonight.
For any problematic drive run:
HD Tune (see earlier instructions)
Sea Tools for Windows (see earlier instructions)
If any problems were seen then also run:
HD Sentinel
Crystal Disk
A substantial portion of the testing can be performed overnight.
For external drives you can use windows while the external drives are tested.
Just to be clear to see if I understand you correctly - since all the remaining HD's are external, are you saying that I can continue to use my computer and run HD Tune at the same time? That would save alot of time, because I wouldn't have to wait to only do one per night. I'm going to be using the single docking station for these instead of the Sabrent because I'm not sure if I can trust that one anymore with my data.
Yes, for external drives the HD Tune, and Sea Tools for Windows should allow you to test them while using Windows.
Typically you must watch out for unexpected Windows updates, power outages, etc.
