Processor upgrade

The board is a GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) AM4 AMD B450 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX AMD. There is 32 GB CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 288-Pin DDR4 memory. The SSD is MKNSSDPL1TB-D8 [Hard drive] (1000.20 GB)
Replaced a AMD RYZEN 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz with an AMD RYZEN 5 3600 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000031BOX Desktop Processor and the computer won't post. There is no video. I checked the compatibility with Gigabyte and the website says it is compatible. And yet.....
What am I missing? The Ryzen 5 is touted to be better with video with the added core values.

Are you sure the new CPU has integrated graphics?

The old one (2200G) does.

I have a MSI Gaming GeForce GT 710 2GB GDRR3 64-bit HDCP. The integrated has no VGA so I added the card. But I also cleared the CMOS, and did a power reset, but still, no joy. I tried a DVI boot as well, after removing the graphics card, resetting the CMOS, resetting the power, and it still wouldn't post.

I checked, and it does not have integrated graphics.

Is your monitor connected to the motherboard video port - or to a video port on the video card?

I have 3 displays, and they are all connected to the graphics card. When I started it up the first time, only the VGA was connected. I restarted with each one individually, and no joy.

Could be you got a bad CPU.

That's where I "checked" in an earlier post. But thanks. I read most of the first few pages of that article. It was too long to go the distance, and I had found out what I needed to know. I did go to Gigabyte and downloaded all of the latest driver software/firmware, and installed it all. My plan is to reinstall the Ryzen 5 and see if that helped. I have also ordered an upgraded video card, an MSI Radeon RX 570 DirectX 12 RX 570 ARMOR 8G OC 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready, with the adapter cables that will upgrade all 3 displays.

I had a quick look at one msi gt 710 specs, says support for 2 monitors.

Then there's mobo bios settings, graphics option to run as legacy (don't know if the 710 has gpt/uefi vbios) ?
