    Touchpad Asus N55SF

    HI Gang

i have put windows 10 on an Asus N55SF , thanks to the help and advice from this forum i was able to fix volume keys.
I have another issue where i dont have any driver software for the touchpad. It allows me to adjust sensitivity but thats it.
It was was a fresh install on a new SSD and i have updated to version 1909. I have gone to Asus website but cant see any driver for he touchpad. I also went online and followed the uninstall restart option but keep going in a loop. I want to be able to to turn off double tap etc .

    Can anyone advise please?

    regards

This is an old notebook from 2011. Essentially, you have taken the responsibility of sorting out problems in upgrading to an O/S for which it is not specified and with which it is not guaranteed to be compatible.

You don't quote its drivers page. This seems to be one:

You can try to find one in your region.

There is a touchpad driver for Win 7.

You could try loading those Win7 drivers using compatibility mode.

Unzip the download package, right-click the .exe file, select properties,

    select compatibility tab,
click box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for;"
use pull-down to select Windows 7,
click "Run this program as an Administrator."
    Then click apply and OK.

I've had complete success with this method for an old Dell Studio 1747 (circa 2009). It came with Win7 and I performed a clean install of Windows 10 -1809. All drivers were OEM Win7 64bit.

Another approach could be to run a driver updater tool - this is the sort of circumstance where I might suggest one, if stuck.

E.g. Drivermax (2 free a day I believe). Ignore anything other than a touchpad driver.

Did you try the method in post #3 with more than one of the OS types?

How about Windows Update? or Snappy Driver Installer Origin.
