    Driver Help for Windows - Hidden Other devices

    I've got 2 devices that are hidden and put in other devices category but they do not appear to be in error. I've never actually seen this before though so I'm verifying that this is normal.

    The following is a snapshot of the other devices in device manager:

    I've already tried that but as you can see, there is no hardware id. I'm realizing i should have said all of this in the beginning but the actual question at hand is if that is normal.

    There are log collectors used in another Ten Forums room.

    Is this one of the unknown devices? It looks an awful lot like part of a Steel Series Keyboard, wouldn't you say?

    I have a SteelSeries device in 2 locations in my device manager.

    Are you using a SteelSeries keyboard and what is showing in these locations on your device manager?

    @zbook I'm working on it...

    @W10 Tweaker it looks exactly like yours. I really am leaning toward this is normal. I have 3 total entries, the same 2 as yours and the one that is hidden in Other devices which says it's running normal.

    Why not just export all your drivers (always good to store backups anyways) and uninstall the unknown "SteelSeries Keyboard" device? Then reboot and if it's a plug'n'play it will re-install itself and you have drivers available from the backup.

    You might check your SteelSeries software version first. If you require to update the sw engine, it may fix your unknown device at the same time.

    I don't know if this is for your keyboard or not, check carefully first.

    I've done that already. It (the screenshots i provided earlier) says something about HID Bluetooth filter which makes me think that it can control the rgb lights on an externally connected keyboard via bluetooth... i'm just guessing now... sigh...

    You have a category for Other devices also. Did you look inside to see if you have the same thing? (i'd be highly surprised if you missed that but worth a shot)

    Do you have a SteelSeries RGB keyboard connected?

    BTW, I located a third SteelSeries entry in System devices in my device manager.

    If you've already explored this approach, I'll just sit and watch while you troubleshoot with zbook.

    Yes, I did look in the other devices already.
