Can't get rid of drivers left by Paragon Free Backup

I have had a number of BSODs recently and at least one of them was caused by a driver called uimbus.sys, which turned out to be part of Paragon Free Backup. I had completely forgotten that I had installed this software, and since I wasn't using it, I had no hesitation in running the uninstaller, but after rebooting, when I was trying to set up Driver Verifier, I found that uimbus.sys and a number of other drivers that are part of Paragon Backup were still there. So I looked in my app settings and found that Paragon hadn't been installed after all. So I ran the uninstaller again, and this time Paragon finally left my list of installed apps, but after rebooting and starting to configure Driver Verifier again, I found that the Paragon drivers were still there. How can I get rid of this Paragon garbage? Is it enough simply to take ownership of the driver files and delete them, or do things need to change in the registry?

I am using Windows version 1909.

Re-install it, then use a dedicated program remover like RevoUninstaller or Geek Uninstaller (freeware versions) making sure you use the options to remove leftover files/folders/registry entries not covered by the default program/Windows uninstaller component.

You might also consider using ccleaner and/or WiseDiskCleaner as an after-cleanup option (just use the default settings for both programs)

If you happent to reinstall/ uninstall it make sure that you've terminated any Paragon running process or service before running an uninstall utility.

You might want to try Total Uninstaller Free (to try): Total Uninstall 6.27.1 Download - TechSpot

Also ask Paragon support. You might find they have an uninstall utility to ensure complete removal of their software. They sound almost as bad as Acronis for poor software engineering.
