It is a good forum but I would still advise you to format if your current OS is an upgrade from Windows 7.

Like I mentioned: I have not see the Windows Audio graph issue anymore.

However I seem to be having a related / unrelated FPS issue.

I did a clean install of Windows 10 build 1511 like two months ago.

Am not sure if you are going to read this but unfortunately I still have the issue. A fresh Windows install (to make certain on the removal of residual IDT settings) did not help. Seems like we need another solution.

Indeed. My workaround is to play muted sound stream on loop - I use White Noise app from Store for this. You will have no issues anymore, but this workaround is less than ideal.

It seems I have found a working driver! Need more time for bechmarking, though.

OK, it seems the problem for me (HP Probook 6465b) was solved by installing HP driver version 6.10.6367 (sp57776.exe) in Windows 7 compatibility mode:

    1) Uninstall current IDT drivers, reboot and delete any residual IDT files (Program Files\IDT folder) and registry entries (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IDT)
    2) Download sp57776.exe, extract it, right click on Setup.exe, choose Compatibility tab -> Run this program in compatibility mode -> Windows 7)
    3) Install driver, reboot, no more audiodg.exe eating HDD usage.

I've uploaded the HP Softpaq version that works with my system. Here's the link: http://www.filedropper.com/hpsp56876hotkeyqlb

If this doesn't work, please post your exact make/model number here and I will get back to you with the relevant package for your system.

    Thanks.
    My System: HP Dv6 6050se / Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
    Audio Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_7605&SUBSYS_103C1657&REV_1001
    BIOS: F.1B
Please provide me with a link of suitable updated IDT driver. I have tried few updated versions but they don't work properly, the equalizer didn't worked with them.
The Original Windows 7 IDT Driver for HP Dv6 6050se is: sp55094 (It also doesn't work with Windows 10 properly)

    IDT HD Audio Driver v6.10.6498.0 - Yandex.Disk

Thanks litvcom, Your updated driver package WORKED well on my Windows 10 RS1...

However, I had SP65196.exe (which is also v6.10.6498.0) installed and working on my Envy M6 with hard ware ID (HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76E0&SUBSYS_103C18A5), except for the FN+B (Beats Audio) and the Equalizer, in live play mode. i.e, if I change the settings I would not notice the changes until I restart the media player or browser.

I recognised that this compilation seems to be a mix of 6498 and 6504, so I extracted sp71717.exe (6504) and copied the files updated by Tempo Semi and SRS Labs in the WDM folder and injected them into the expanded sp65196.exe (6498) replacing existing ones, I also took a chance and copied stwrt64.sys but not the .CAT, .INI or .INF and reinstalled and it seems to be working well. (if you copy only the .EXE files in WDM, it will also work).

It sounds very similar (my be a little richer) and the Equalizer and FN+B are also working.

I would think that those who have the other Hardware ID would either find success in installing sp71717.exe or can copy the .CAT, .INF and .INI files as well.
