Getting a mouse to work with Win 10

The transition from Win 7 to 10 was OK, but for some reason, last week, the mouse stopped working. I posses at least three different mice and have tried my best to get at least one of them to start functioning with Win 10, but was unsuccessful. I suspect the problem is with Win 10 because I have changed the drivers along with the mice and tried to make an educated guess as to what settings in Win 10 that I need to change. But so far nothing has worked.
Another annoying thing is the webpage that I'm writing on keeps moving up and down, and the mouse pointer seems to have a mind of it's own, also. Any suggestions?

    Hi, please try
    a. a clean boot (Google that if unsure or see tenforums tutorial)
    b. booting to Safe Mode e.g. via SHIFT + left click Restart and work through the sequence (tutorial available).

In those two cases do any of your mice work normally?
