My wife's computer was with same memory issues. We cleaned with a contact cleaner and problem solved. A contact cleaner is a spray that takes out grease and oxidation. On the memory stick, use it on the gold contacts and GENTLY use a piece of cloth. Spray it on the memory slot.
If you buy another memory stick, buy from same manufacture and same specs and same chip sets.
Use HwInfo
It's a portable, don't need to be installed.
I started testing the other memory stick yesterday, I went to bed and left it at 5 passes with 0 errors.
This morning it had 25 passes and found 4 errors.
So both memory sticks are faulty! Interesting how both memory modules have become faulty.
All good buying a new memory stick, it was probably the source of the issue.
Thanks everyone for your help, really appreciate it.

Actually before buying a new set I will clean them and re-test. I still think it's strange both sticks failed approximately at the same time.
Question: Can I also clean the DIMM slot itself on my MB or cleaning the gold contact on the memory stick will suffice?
You're welcome.
For new RAM modules:
a) run the crucial scanner in the earlier post to view some options
b) make sure the RAM modules are purchased in pairs with identical SKU
c) if the computer or motherboard manufacturer has a Qualified Vendor List (QVL) use this list to select new modules.
d) consider purchasing from a vendor that guarantees compatibility
e) one other consideration when shopping is the availability of a lifetime RAM module warranty
Thank you again for your help.
I do have a QVL for my MB and I know exactly what I need to purchase for my system.
It's funny your are mentioning the lifetime warranty because I'm fairly certain that these 10 y/o OCZ sticks had a lifetime warranty on them when I purchased them. I should still have the tax invoice so I will try to get refunded.
Thanks again for everyone's help.
Great.
Glad to help.
You're welcome.
