Wait, so the Windows 7 x64 driver did install? I was not clear on that.
So the error message "no camera found" didn't occur when you installed the driver, but when you attempted to use the Camera App?

Yes, sorry if it wasn't clear.
The Windows 7 x64 driver always installed correctly during all our attempts, but then it was giving that error message in the Camera app and also in the Skype app, so I ended up uninstalling it all the time.
It works on desktop Skype though, I never thought about trying that until Asus told me.
Hello, the issue may be old, but I solved my problem by doing the following solution from google friends:
Asus Webcam ters Gosteriyor Hatası, Asus Notebook Webcam Ters Gosterme Sorunu Nasıl Duzeltilir - YouTube
Hi everyone, I have been facing the same issues (and I've tried every option on every forum or thread). I followed the steps from nIGHTmAYOR's file, but I still get the same error when I try to install the new webcam driver: a box with a yellow/black exclamation mark triangle and the name of the webcam (USB2.0 VGA/1.3M/2M WebCam). Anyone here who still has another idea how to fix this?
Thanks! trying now
Edit* WOOPS can't download it for whatever reason. ah on to try other things
Edit 2* okay, this site finally let me download! (Hate when sites make you sign up haha)
Well since I'm here might as well update:
So it works perfectly for browsers and such, does not seem to work for UWP apps which I guess isn't too bad. Other apps are to be had everywhere. Gives error for UWP apps, but it's rightside up everywhere else it seems.
So good work, nightmayor! And thank you! I read the readme fully lol
If anyone figures out a way around the UWP issue, just tag me. Thanks.
Oh also, I'm using this on Windows 11 pro. Can confirm it's still working there as well as 10.
I have been trying to fix my camera but every driver I try has this error, see pic. I am trying to install the modified driver from this thread which he said works in windows 10.
Also if I try to install from device manager by clicking have disk it says make sure the driver is windows 7 64 bit even though all the drivers I am trying are windows 7 64bit!
Many thanks,.
Do not know what exactly helped
But I did the following steps
1) applied all latest OS updates as per November 2023 and rebooted
2) installed driver by nIGHTmAYOR
Now cam works fine without any upside down issues anywhere
You should be happy this is not an Apple lappy, as their most likely response would be "you're holding it wrong", hehehe /s
