Touchpad “in slow motion” when charging

I've been having this problem with my laptop almost ever since I bought it that, whenever charging (plugged in), my touchpad mouse cursor keeps getting “in slow motion” (lagging?) all of a sudden. The problem keeps appearing and disappearing.

I’ve sent my laptop to Samsung 3 times. They changed the touchpad and the laptop was reset 3 times, but they couldn’t resolve the issue.

I’ve been searching this problem like crazy on the web, made some changes on processor power management that I saw about, but it didn’t resolve it.

P.Są.: If I put a wireless or USB mouse, the problem DOESN’T occur.
P.S˛.: Even if it’s 100% charged, but the charger is plugged in, the problem occurs.

    My laptop is a Samsung Expert X30 NP350XAA-KD1BR, Core i5-8250U, 8GB, 1TB, 15.6”, Windows 10 Home, Version 1909.

Here’s 2 videos to illustrate better the problem:

    Thank you!

    Welcome to the Tenforums @felipefgf

Your video seems to show that horizontal movement is slow but vertical seems to be normal. Hard to tell but that is waht I think I see.

Interesting that it does it while charging. Are the circuits involved emitting an electrical interference that is somehow interfering with the components in the touchpad.

This might not be appropriate test but I'm wonder can you separate keyboard from laptop and can you then test when it is in this disassembled state. I say inappropriate because I know how difficult some devices can be to open and not knowing what you are doing can lead to damage.

Electrical interference is my best guess as it only happens when charging circuits engaged and you've replaced the touchpad.

    Thank you for your reply!

Unfortunately I'm not a professional, so I can't do the kind of physical tests you suggested, but I appreciate the electrical interference guess.

As for the horizontal/vertical thing I guess it was just something the video made it look like, because it really doesn't matter. It was just me trying to show how "faulty" it was.

Strange, when you send to Samsung can they not see the behaviour?

They did a very shitty job. They couldn't identify the issue.

bro i don't know if you still have this issue but i guess i found the reason why it happens. so when i bought this PC i only used it at school, and whenever it was recharging the touchpad would start lagging. then covid happened, and i forgot about this issue because at home it never happened. just today i went to school again and again, this happened. so basically i did some research and it appears that a bad grounding is responsible for this issue. i don't know what you could do, but i thought it would be useful info

hey man, thank you for your answer!

after a long long time trying everything to resolve the issue, some months ago I found out exactly what you've mentioned. Turns out my house has bad grounding and that's what's causing the issue.
