    Bluetooth driver for Linux.

I have an Apple wireless keyboard that use with a Linksys Bluetooth USB receiver adapter (USB BT100 Rev2). It works great with Win10 and it’s small footprint saves a ton of desk space. But when I dual boot to Linux Mint a get a keyboard missing message. Since I’m a rank beginner with a Linux, I could really use a step by step guide to finding and installing Bluetooth drivers to get this keyboard working with Linux. Thanks in advance.

Check on the Apple website, more companies are also doing Linux drivers

Also check the Drivers update under System (I think that's where it is) and see if there is a proprietary driver for your Linksys

Thanks Frabnkhs, Linksys has no Linux comparable drivers for my adapter, it’s really old. So I opted to get a new one that’s Windows and Linux compatible, $13.95 from Amazon. Problem solved. Sorry I wasted you time.

    No problem at all

But are you aware that the Linux Mint command is soooo powerful that you could probably write a script to interface that ancient old Linksys adapter?

Some years ago I ended up with an old Redhat 7 disc.... From a book on Linux

That old version didn't have USB memory access.... My camera and flash drives would work

So I learned how to script the mounting of both. Same idea (kinda) of a DOS batch file but on steriods

my hat’s off to you being able to do that. I’m really a beginner in Linux, even something simple is agony. Especially with bring fluent in Windows it’s humbling and frustrating to be so crippled in Linux. I need to spend some time learning Linux basics. Just so dang busy in retirement, lol.
