    USB faults

    Ahoy!
    I have a minor problem.
I have an android tablet in which I use a USB flash drive to transfer to my Windows 10 (1909 Build 18363.720) computer and back again as need be.
The problem is every time I stick the USB drive in a port (any port) Windows 10 tells there is a fault in the drive and it is recommended that the drive should be scanned and repaired.
So who am I to argue but when I do scan and repair it tells me that Windows did not find any faults to fix and all is rosy
So why tell me there was an error in the first place???
It is not a biggy but it would be good to get an answer of some kind

No repair/scan/fix needed - a false positive hissy-fit from Windows simply because it can't cope with the ignominy and shock of having to read a FAT32 formatted device ("Oh shock horror, how degrading for me", says windows 10.). It's one of Microsoft's/Windows' classic errors-of-last-resort ... "something's not right, don't know what to do ... I know, let's format, solves everything!"

Portable devices like android tablets require external devices to be formatted FAT32, they can't cope with NTFS (yet), which Windows prefers.

Annoying, it'll always be there, just ignore (cancel) any such message

Microsoft hasn't given up on FAT32 yet, using the MCT/Media Creation Tool to create a Bootable USB Thumb drive wipes the drive and formats as FAT32 but does have a limit of 32GB partition size regardless of the size of the drive. It's simply a limit of FAT32 on Windows along with its single-file-size limit of 4GB.
