    Best streaming device

I have an old Roku and it doesn't handle Miracast or Chromecast so I need a new device. What is the best one to get?

    A new Roku?
    A Chromecast?
    A Firestick?

I don't need or want 4K/UHD as my TV doe not support it.

Tom's guide says Roku Streaming Stick+ is the best overall value and I've been reasonably happy with my old Roku 2. Interface sucks but I suspect all Wireless streaming devices have sucky native interfaces. I can run it from my Laptop so it's quite useable.

I recently chose to buy a Fire Stick 4k which is cheaper that the Roku equivalent and uses standard interfaces

    Roku has Amazon Prime too.

What I really need is one that handles Miracast or Chromecast. Also need to be able to mirror my PC screen.

Sounds like that's a smartphone/PC app. No cast to TV.

    What is Connect on Windows?

The Connect app in Windows 10 Anniversary Update gives smartphone users the ability to “cast” their screens to a PC or laptop running Microsoft's latest version of its ever-evolving operating system.

Think I'm going to go with the Roku Streaming Stick+. Can always return it if I don't like it (Yeah Amazon).

How do I cast to my Tv? My Roku doesn't have that ability (too old) which is why I'm looking to buy a new one. It's not a SMART TV and not network/wifi capable.

    My bad..

The above does require a smart tv.

Roku ultra works really well if you have an hdmi port.
and does have an usb port so you can run local videos as well.
I use it on my old tv to watch Pluto Tv (multiple channels)
