Synaptics WBDI fingerprint driver not working on Lenovo Ideapad 520 ?

Synaptics WBDI fingerprint driver not working on Lenovo Ideapad 520 after Windows 10 1803 Update.

Has anyone else experienced their Synaptics WBDI fingerprint driver giving the error:
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
    {Operation Failed} in Synaptics WBDI - SGX
Or This device cannot start. (Code 10) in Synaptics WBDI
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.
The fingerprint reader was working fine before the 1803 update but the driver appears to have failed after the update.
    My driver version is 5.5.2620.1050.A.
I've already tried another driver, but unfortunately.
I already reinstalled Windows 10 but that doesn't help either.
    I have Versie Windows 10.0.18363 Build 18363

Look for the driver in the Lenovo support website.

    laptops and netbooks :: 500 series :: 520 15ikb - US

Enter the serial number of your computer.

Yesterday the driver removed and installed again.
Today the scanner didn't work again.
In device management the scanner switched off and back on again and then everything worked normally again.

Lenovo said it would be a hardware problem, but I doubt it.

I update the fingerprint driver from that site.
The Bios update don't work : Your machine does not match with the Bios Update process will be halted.
The scanner's working again. I'll keep you posted.

Go to Microsoft Update Catalog, search synaptics wbdi.

The latest driver that is closest to your version number appears to be 5.5.2811.1050. Unzip, copy/paste into new folder and use device manager to update.

Until this morning everything worked, but unfortunately not anymore.
Even with the newest driver it doesn't seem to work.
I also received a message yesterday from Lenovo to send the laptop so they can replace the scanner.
So that is what I am going to do now.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I have this problem after every feature upgrade on my Lenovo X380 Yogas. Here's a blog post I wrote about a potential repair/restore strategy: When Driver MIA After Upgrade Try Pick from a list.... Check it out: it may work for you. Here's hoping!
