Test disk I've not yet used.
    Just downloaded it.
    Then extract all.
    Then launched testdis_win

TestDisk 7.2-WIP, Data Recovery Utility, January 2020 Christophe GRENIER <grenier@cgsecurity.org> CGSecurity TestDisk is free data recovery software designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software, certain types of viruses or human error. It can also be used to repair some filesystem errors. Information gathered during TestDisk use can be recorded for later review. If you choose to create the text file, testdisk.log , it will contain TestDisk options, technical information and various outputs; including any folder/file names TestDisk was used to find and list onscreen. Use arrow keys to select, then press Enter key: >[ Create ] Create a new log file [ Append ] Append information to log file [ No Log ] Don't record anything

Oh! I can't keep up with your speed run.

Close TestDisk and rerun. Follow the procedure in this post Recovering data from a hard drive with too many bad sectors

The main point is you should choose [Advanced] -FileSystem Util and press Enter - not [Analyse]. If the next screen shows all the partitions , choose the Recovery Partition and click on [Boot]

If Boot Sector shows bad , backup boot sector OK then click on [Backup]. It will write the backup to the boot sector.

If it shows Boot sector OK Backup Boot sector OK you may have to click on [MFT Repair]

If it says MFT and Mirror OK that is it. You may close TestDisk and run the checkDisk Command

( I am writing from my memory but am sure you can make it out when you run.)

In case of any doubt please post the screenshot so that I can guide you.

    Version 7.2 had been installed.
Control panel did not display an uninstall option under the letter T.
    Downloading version 7.1 now.

What should be clicked on now?

    No recovery partition seen.
    Only see Windows RE(store)
    boot not seen

When clicking on the other three listed partitions boot appears.

If the drive shows in Windows Disk management with a drive letter, that should definitely show in the TestDisk. Have you unhidden the drive in Folder Options and given a drive letter T as mentioned earlier? - Show hidden Files, Folders and Drives

Just changed it to letter W:

Using Partition Wizard, give a drive letter to the Recovery partition. ( I had done it on my DELL PC once before) Then run TestDisk.
