    BIOS Fujitsu AH532

I know everything I write here is off topic but I need desperate help.

    My laptop's model : Fujitsu AH532/G21 laptops ( two )
Website : Fujitsu Technical Support pages from Fujitsu United Kingdom
    Bios : Phoeinex

    Request :
I want to flash both laptops bios as both of them have become corrupt over the years. CAN somebody create for me a bootable usb drive
so that I can successfully flash it without problem. I know you guys will refer me to the wiki but I have tried to do it and failed. PLUS i couldn't find a BIOS.wph anywhere. And the one I did find was deleted by windows 10 automatic delete system (@#$%).

ANY help would be appreciated as I am trying to bring TWO laptops back to life to install linux/ windows for programming while I cant afford another. I am writing this from my other laptop which is family laptop.

    Windows 1903

If Windows automatically deleted your "bios.wph" file, I presume that it was because Windows security detected it as having malware present. That was likely enough if you downloaded it from some random web site.

Does Fujitsu actually use a "bios.wph" file?

Just for fun, I tried the FreeDos utility linked to in the readme that came with the BIOS download. It appeared to run OK, but I was unable to boot my PC from it, even in legacy mode.

Is there a reason you aren't using the Windows version? If it is like similar utilities I have seen in the past, it launches in Windows, but then reboots the machine and finishes the flash outside of Windows.

Incidentally, I'm not hopeful that reflashing the BIOS will be helpful. I doubt that the contents of the EEPROM are ever corrupted.

I can't boot into the laptop since the bios is corrupted. It is showing me a black screen. I am trying to re-flash the bios by making a FREEDOS USB and holding FN + B to hopefully re-flash it. That is the reason I can't find the bios.wph or bios.rom file and asking you veterans for help.

I am not using the utility they provide but I am using RUFUS. I formatted the USB using RUFUS. This laptop is more than 7 year old and my siblings tried to mess with the bios config.

There is no way flushing BIOS for your laptop as there is no file supplied by laptop manufacturer.

Changing BIOS configurations wrong way will not corrupt BIOS firmware or stop you from booting laptop into BIOS setup utility.

Which keyboard key are you using to boot into BIOS setup utility?

I am using both F2 and F12 to go into bios. I flashed the bios way back in 2017 by downloading this pack and taing the .wph if my memory serves me right. Since my laptop is different mode, my laptop CMOS is located underneath and I am noobie so I can't do that. I don't wanna go to a repair shop bcz they are hell of a expensive and one denied saying that this is a "branded" laptop.

    I found this on bios-mods : https://mega.nz/#!nl8zFJaQ!9uDy8DAtj...glqFcDR4IYV7s8
Says its for the same laptop ah532/g21.

I know so that means it may only be a extension upgrade and not a whole laptop bios.bin file.

What do you say about this : Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source: Search
Dump Bios Fujitsu AH532/G21 - Badcaps Forums

I think if you run the winflash utillity without actually telling it yes, and going to the %temp% folder you might find the .bin or .rom there. I dont wanna try that out on my family laptop though.

Try to search my laptop bios here : Fujitsu Technical Support pages from Fujitsu United Kingdom

Did you mention that you couldn't boot into Windows? I don't see that.

I have never used Rufus, but I believe that it won't make a USB drive that boots into a DOS environment.

In the readme files that comes with the "admin" version of the BIOS update, there are links to image files to prepare FreeDos bootbale drives. I suggest that you try one. (Copy and paste the address into a browser.) I tried it, but the result wouldn't boot with my 2019 motherboard, as far as I can tell.

I doubt that your BIOS has been corrupted. Your CMOS settings may be buggered. It's too bad that you need to partially disassemble the laptop to remove the backup battery to clear the CMOS, but that's the way it is. It looks easier than with the cheap Lenovo laptop I own; nothing to be pried apart.

I strongly recommend not downloading a BIOS from hacker sites. Particularly those with .ru domains. They may intend to give you something other than a BIOS update.

You will not be able to flash the Bios if you can't get boot into Setup (Bios) . Have you tried your laptop with an external Monitor? if you get a black screen then there is another hardware issue, not the Bios. The motherboard may be borked.

Rufus has an option to use MS DOS or Free DOS (see attached)
