It makes one wonder how they decided to maintain 5 , 6 10, and 11 and eliminate 9 and 10.

So it was failure to upgrade a BIOS that is no longer supported?

Please update the progress with steps 29 and 32.
    Then upload a new V2.
I uninstalled then reinstalled the Intel chipset drivers under safe mode and then restarted, the HDD is now back to working properly. I hope it will stay that way.

I tried before first posting about the problem to
uninstall the Intel chipset drivers then let Windows reinstall but under normal boot and nothing changed.

SeaTools for Windows passed the long generic test for both drivers.

Nice progress with Sea Tools and the chipset drivers.

The logs displayed no restore points.

If you are comfortable restoring images with Macrium then they are not needed.

On a rare occasion having both is a useful belt and suspenders backup option.

Free drive space is approximately 34.58 GB.
Maintain this at > 30 GB for the next week so that memory dumps are not automatically deleted.

    The BIOS: Version/Date Dell Inc. A12, 27/05/2019

    Driver Easy is still installed.
Third party software can be used to check the availability of drivers but in general can install unknown files.

There was drive file table corruption displayed in the logs for multiple drives.
When available please post results for HD Tune and chkdsk /r /v for ST500LT012-1DG142.
    These can be ran overnight.

When available please post images of the Dell diagnostic custom tests performed with results.

The last BSOD seen in the logs was on 3/12.

The last unexpected shutdown and / or restart was on 3/14.
These can occur with problems related to heat, malfunctioning hardware, BSOD, and manual power offs.

I have never used system restore or needed to before, I had it turned off to save space that's why there is no restore points but I may consider using it.

I still have "Driver Easy" installed just to check for the available new updates, then I will manually download them from manufacture website.

I will continue with the checks and post when finished.

By the way what do you think of optimizing/cleaning programs like CCleaner,
PrivaZer, Jv16 powertools, ...etc. Is there a good and trusted software that can be used?

I have downloaded all the driver updates from Dell for my service tag, shall I uninstall then reinstall or install over the existing will be enough?

So, any idea why BIOS update file is not extracting/installing at my device ?

zbook was referring to routinely making then, when necessary, restoring system images. This is not at all like using Restore points [for a kick-off, it is reliable].

Macrium Reflect Free is often recommended in this forum for making system images and there is plenty of help available here for it.
Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect - TenForumsTutorials
    Macrium Software Macrium Reflect Free
    Macrium USB - TenForums
Macrium Reflect KnowledgeBase - user guide [version-independent link]
I use Acronis TI not Macrium Reflect so I cannot provide any help for it.

Ccleaner is used by many in Ten Forums.

Please do not use it to clean the registry.
It cleans the registry but over time there are threads with unexpected problems.

The default settings need to be modified so that files used for troubleshooting are not cleaned.
Open Ccleaner > click windows tab or custom clean > scroll down to system and advanced > post an image into the thread

Please install the best tested drivers from the Dell website.
If prompted select to delete any software for the specific device.
    Disregard any messages regarding dates.
Perform Windows updates after installing the drivers.

The BIOS problems were fixed as the most up to date version is currently installed.
If there is a new update with failure to install it can be troubleshooted.

Thanks for the info and help given, really appreciate that and can't thank you enough.

I don't have CCleaner installed now, I was asking which I should be using as I seen somewhere in another forums people claiming PrivaZer is much better (as CCleaner is now owned by Avast and it's original developer retired).

Yes the latest BIOS update is now installed thanks to you guys, but I'm still unable to open/extract the main installer downloaded from Dell, that's obviously is not right and I would like to know what is causing that and I wish to fix the issues.

I will run chkdsk /r /v later as I know it takes lots of time to finish and I will post afterwards.

The Dell diagnostics found problems with the webcam and battery.

the BIOS Update is a self-extracting Exe
When run it should extract the contents to %UserProfile%\Appdata\local\temp
then the flash utility is run from that temp folder location
Thus I compressed that Temp Folder and passed you the link
thus you ran the flash utility - without the initial extraction process

Using 7zip directly missed a process of the exe and the ROM files where not created

SO, Windows should be able to process and extract this file without the need for any 3rd party software.

Then why my system doesn't extract this file by itself ? What is wrong ?

I even downloaded an older version of the update to try with, but with the same issue.
There is no window appears, no pop up, no error, just nothing happens.

And in the report under the Reliability Monitor I found a warning, which definitely means something isn't right.
