    Try calibrating the battery:
How to manually calibrate Battery of Windows laptops to increase its life I recommend creating a specific power plan for this rather than editing a current plan.

    Thanks.

You may want to edit your link as it brings up a page not found. Removing the the "l" from "laptopsl" will correct the problem

My battery light is flashing orange (it's been that color) now. Will search about it but any help would be appreciated.

If you hover over the battery does it state it’s charging?
Does the manual for the PC state what the flashing orange light indicates? It may be low battery or charging.
Did you try calibrating the battery?

    If the battery is removable...

    1) remove charger
    2) remove battery
    3) press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds, release
    4) replace battery
    5) attach charger

The manual says blinking orange means the laptop is running on battery mode and the battery is less than 10%.

I shut it down, pulled out the cord, then tried to hold the power button for 10 seconds but the laptop shut down before those 10 seconds. I inserted the cord and tried again with the same results. I started normally and the blinking light stopped. The battery is at 74% and charging but I suspect it won't charge fully.

I'll try a calibration then battery removal. I've been hesitant about removing the battery because it seems a bit tricky from the tutorial I watched.

Be brave. While you're in there blow any dust out, etc.
