    Printer Connection Issue

I have a Brother L-2320D B&W Laser printer. Using Win 10 1909. Every week or so I have to unplug the cable to the printer just momentarily to get it to print. I changed the cable, updated the drivers and called Brother. They seemed to think the printer needs to be repaired or replaced. I am skeptical of that diagnosis since for the most part it prints without a problem.

    Any Ideas Welcome!

I have seen issues with a few different-brand printers when using USB 3 ports instead of USB 2 ports, have you tried changing? Usually a USB 3 cable has a different-shaped end for the device but both ends have blue centers in them while USB 2 are black.

As stated, this printers USB connection is USB 2.0 (Black). It may not work as well in a USB 3.0 Port (Blue).
Be sure to plug the printer directly into the USB 2.0 ports on the back of the computer (Desktop) not the front and not thru a Hub.
Make sure USB cable is firmly plugged into Printer.
If still having problems, try replacing the USB cable. Also, Uninstall the Brother software, Unplug the USB cable from the Computer end, and Restart the computer, Download the latest driver and install, when it says to plug in the USB cable in the Wizard, do so, not before.
