I have no answer but would question the description. Aren't the buttons on the left side? I've seen buttons on both the right side and the left side on mice and also on trackballs.

I use the Dell K251D mouse, left button is for Back and right button is forward if more than one page has been opened during the session. Scroll wheel works same as most, haven't yet needed the button and 3 lights in the middle behind the wheel. A review of the Dell K251D:
The mouse action is smooth. The laser tracking works on my desktop, which my last laser mouse did not forcing me to use a mouse pad. The scroll wheel has the clickey feel that I like. The hand position on the mouse feels natural. There is a button on the top that sets the scroll speed to one of 4 presets, position number 2 works perfect for me allowing me to scroll across my two screens in the limited amount of space that I have.

The mouse has two buttons on the side that act as forward/back buttons. the buttons are small and clicking them is something new to me as my last mouse did not have them. At the moment using these feels unnatural, in time I may get used to them.

My last mouse was a cheapish logitech that I liked very much (aside from the mouse pad thing.) The logitech mouse worked fantastically for about 13 years (as best I can recall.) I don't know if this new mouse will be as long lasting.
I got that from Amazon's ordering description, they may have similar for your mouse if the maker/seller can't provide it.
