If you know its helpful, then why wouldn't you install them?I know 3rd party apps may be helpful for my situation, but I don't want to install them.
I'm very sorry but I'm just feeling so much fear and anxiety over this because this 2TB Seagate internal HDD is a really important HDD for me.
I'm trying to think as clearly as I can.

I always read about rogue 3rd party apps taking user information and so I just find it hard to trust 3rd party apps as I'm concerned they'll contain viruses/malware or other privacy invasive behaviours that will then communicate my information to a malicious user on the Internet.If you know its helpful, then why wouldn't you install them?
NiceAndShy, we all have said that your priority is to backup your data to an external drive.
Back up your data is your priority. Don't waste your time backing up anything else but your data. OS and programs can be corrupted.
My suggestion is to buy a small SSD (120G) for windows and programs and a first line HDD for data.
You will have the speed of a SSD with the space of a HDD at low cost.

That's fair enough, and a good reason to be cautious. There are, however, lots of very good 3rd party software that are not malicious. Macrium Reflect, which is highly recommended, is one of them - it is used by almost every member here (including myself) for imaging.
Once you have copied your data, and fixed your system, we can revisit that. First priority - copy all your data off your system.

I'm backing up files as best as I can.
I just did an "Error check" scan by opening the inbuilt app in Windows 10. It looked liked this: https://i1.wp.com/www.techjunkie.com...ng?w=363&ssl=1
I did an "Error check" and it says on my screen: "Windows successfully scanned the drive. No errors were found."
Does this help?

Would it be more helpful if I ran "chkdsk" or could this do damage?
Once any important data is backed up you can replace the drive.
Alternatively the drive can be used until the terminal event.
Data recovery is a separate topic.
Once you have data backed up this is no longer a concern.
Chkdsk and other tests/steps can be used on the drive after any important data is backed up.
The Sea Tools short generic displayed fail.
Run the Cruial scanner to find replacement options:

As everyone has said my first priority is backing up my data to the external USB HDD that's attached to my PC so this is what I'm focused on.
I took a screenshot of the "Windows Error Checking" scan I did just so it's clear for everyone what type of scan I ran.

I've been trying to use this PC's HDD as little as I can as has been recommended in this thread, but would I be risking further damage by rebooting?
I have sooo much life stress I'm dealing with right now so I haven't been able to focus on this. That's why I'm feeling so much anxiety as I know backing up my data is super important!

One problem with the Backup & Restore system image is that you can't chose to make an image of just this one disk. It will insist on imaging your Windows system partitions as well, only allowing you to include as optional extras any non-system partition or drives. Another potential problem is that it may say the backup has failed at the first read error it encounters. I can't say for certain as I've never tried it on a failing drive. If it succeeds then it will create a .vhdx file for each partition it has imaged. These can be mounted as a virtual drive in File Explorer.
Macrium can image only the drive you want, and has an option to ignore sector read errors. A Macrium image can also be mounted and explored.
