Use joystick as a mouse
Hello!
I have connected my laptop to my large TV through HDMI and I use it for watching movies and also play some casual games, mostly MAME and other emulators or old non-demanding games. I have an old-fashioned arcade-style analog joystick (looks like an Amiga joystick with 4 buttons) that plugs to the standard gameport and I connect it with a gameport-to-USB adapter from Logilink to my laptop. It works great in MAME and other old games. One inconvenience is that I have to use a wireless mouse to launch any application or game. I remember back in Windows XP you could go to Accessibility and configure a joystick as mouse. That means moving the cursor with the joystick and use button 1 to left click and button 2 to right click. I could not find any similar setting in Windows 10. Is that possible? Do I need a third-party software for this? If that matters the joystick can only operate in DirectInput mode, it doesn't support Xinput, but I would like to know of a similar solution for Xinput controllers, if there is one. Thank you in advance.
PS: Using joystick as a mouse would impact playing games with a joystick? I certainly don't want that. I run Windows 10 v1909 64-bit, if that matters.
