    Hello again.

I finally gave up on testing. Everything pointed to the need for replacement of the hard drive. So I have.

And I have to say and HUGE thank-you to zBook for introducing me to Macrium Reflect. I bought it and, with some help from the Macrium forum and an "Ask Leo!" book, my system transfer went flawlessly. Everything is as it was ... except for the error message.

Now I have to have a look at the old drive to be sure there's nothing I should take from it. I doubt it since the rescue was so complete but I do need to. Compulsion or some such thing. And then, of course, do a deep format and whatever else is recommended before I return it. There's a question associated with that but I think it's a new topic so I'll close this one out with my very sincere gratitude.

    -G.
