HP Laserjet Pro P1109W problem after installing Windows 10 Pro
I usually help folks but over the past few months after installing Windows 10 Pro I have issues with my HP Laser-jet Pro printer P1109W.
The HP website says it is a Win10 Compatible printer.
Printer is direct wired using USB port on my Desktop PC and I have tried other USB ports, reboot but still the same issues.
HP has links to this problem but it seems they have no idea either whats causing it.
I have turned Windows Services spooler ON and OFF with no change.
I have used the Printer t Troubleshooter which sometimes clears the spooler and I get a good print.
After I try to print 1st time the printer icon stays in the lower right corner of the taskbar with nothing active print jobs.
I have used the full HP install drivers and garbage as well as totally removing them and using the Windows 10 drivers and get the same issues.
I get the green light flashing on the printer showing that something is in buffer for printing.
It may take 15 minutes or more for the printer to print and when it prints the paper has just a 1/2" line at the top nothing else.
Sometime it merges the same picture I'm printing 2 or 3 times on 1 page any maybe 1 picture is complete.
The rest are 2 or 3 partial prints of the picture.
Here is a fact that may help.
I can print in Word, Excel, Webpages but whenever I try and print a picture or a Word Document with a picture in it It fails.
We will see if this type of printing stops or not but at the moment I can print them.
So it seems the issue has to do with pictures.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
