Multiple mouse problems with multiple mice

First let me say these problems are somewhat intermittent. At least they started out that way but have become pretty much become full time. Problems started on a regular dongle type wireless mouse, USB mouse worked fine so I replaced the wireless with a Bluetooth mouse, which worked fine for a couple of weeks before starting to act up, getting to the point now where it's basically unusable. I never imagined having same problems with both mice, so thinking the Bluetooth mouse was having different problems, spent two weeks trying to diagnose the problem, but everything comes back as correct. Problems are the same with both mice. As I said problem started out to be once every few days, and then works up to the mouse being unusable. I'm thinking it's the Dell combination wireless/Bluetooth radio since both methods of connection are acting up, I know the wireless mouse is actually USB, but it's still wireless. I have the touch-pad disabled with the Dell touch-pad software.
All drivers are up to date, using windows update, three separate driver updater's, and the Dell website, all have the same driver available (based on number, date, size). Bluetooth mouse has lights that correspond to click and movement, including direction, those are still correct, but not output. I know those lights are probably a separate system than actual mouse functions, but still they are still working. What could the problem be? I did try a new Bluetooth dongle in case Dell built-in radio was bad, but it throws a red exclamation point, but it works correctly on two other pc's.

Problems are

1. Stuttering, cursor will just hesitate as it moves across the screen
2. Sometimes if mouse sits for too long (such as typing) it becomes unresponsive (cursor does not respond click does not respond) the only way to get it working again is to restart the pc
3. Trying to click inside a text box (such as this one), unable to click, it just does not take control of text box
4. Trying to place a check inside a check box, again results in being unresponsive, and not selecting box
5. Trying to close a browser tab, or close a OS window, will result in multiple clicks closing between 2 and 4 tabs/windows
6. Right-Click doesn't work correctly either
7. Trying to change tabs does not select new tab
8. Trying to click the Start menu to open it, will require 15-25 clicks, not including right-clicks. Same with anything your trying to open, close, or select.
9. ON a side note, I was trying to listen to a Bluetooth headset the other day and it resulted in a lot of stuttering and skipping (could be bad headset)
10 Trying to insert cursor into middle of a word to correct a typo will result in an entire large paragraph being selected (turning blue), only way to correct it is to get the USB mouse.
11 Troubleshooter always returns "No problem found"
12 Wireless mouse also with cursor speed set to maximum cursor is so slow that it's unusuable
13 Just now while writing this it seems USB mouse has started to act up, but I'm not sure just yet it may be my (paranoid because of all the problems) imagination
14 If I have to restart the pc because mouse is totally unresponsive, restarting will make it work again however it still does not work correctly, but it does respond.
15 Other problems exist that escape my memory at the moment too much to try and remember

After trying different search terms I have found page after page on Google Search of people that are having 2 to 4 of the same problems that I have been experiencing. For instance there was a whole page of people that can't select anything, and another whole page of people that press the left mouse button to copy one sentence, and immediately on pressing the mouse button, it selects the whole page, and can't de-select any thing. Another page of people that can't click the "X" to close a window, another page of people that double or triple click and close 2 to 3 pages at one time. And it continued, every problem I listed I found a whole page of people having the some of the same problems I'm having but nobody has all the problems I am. Some are having multiple problems, still not as many as I am. There are even those having these problems with a USB mouse, so maybe I'm not imaging those problems.

Typically, root cause has been directed toward one Windows Update or another having a problem. Some possible remedies, that some report as working, is to change wifi to turn off when pc sleeps, or Device Manager>USB Root Hub>Properties>Power Management>Turn Off Allow Windows to Turn Off This Device. Now what those things have to do with a wireless/Bluetooth mouse, I can't figure it out, but what I do remember from when I worked on pc's, you would be surprised at what things can affect each other.

So does this information help anyone help me to fix my problems. I'm trying to do all the things listed on these pages that are not as serious problems as I have, hopefully one of those things will work. I'll report back if I notice something working.

I will try that, but I'm not sure how much good it will do. I have a medical condition that makes my hands and arms shake real bad, and I have trouble with using a track-pad, to start with. That's why I use a mouse. But maybe I'll be able to feel a problem when it occurs.

how old is this laptop? when was the last time it been cleaned out from dust?

No I understood the purpose of using the track-pad, it's just that my hands shake so bad, it mimics a broken trackpad. I did do that, and used it for the rest of that day, and the whole next day, and did not see any problems.

The laptop was originally bought in 2013, but it has sat in a closet for right at 3 years gathering dust (it was in temporary service when someones was in the shop). Which brings me to your next question, because it had been sitting up like it had, I got a can of compressed air, sprayed all the vents down, took all the covers off the back, and sprayed real good again before even plugging it in. I know better than that (translation: I've made that mistake, won't do it again )

Now also, I am sorry it took me so long to get back here, but I went ahead and did some of those work arounds I found on the internet, just to see if it would help. I know your supposed to make one change and try it, if it works great, if it doesn't then you do the next thing on list, and I went ahead and did two things. Neither of them would hurt anything else, so why not, maybe get some help a little quicker. I did the 1. change wifi to turn off when pc sleeps 2. USB Root Hub > Turn Off Allow Windows to Turn Off This Device.I then tried the bluetooth mouse again, and it's working at 94% and has for two days. Now what those two setting I changed have anything to do with a bluetooth mouse, I'll never know but so far it's worked.
I'm not going to close this just yet, I would like to get some more information for those wiser than I, and want to make sure it acts right. thank you for your help.

This will be what I try next. I read over the procedure, an it looks interesting.

It's been three days and everything is working as it should. So I'm going to call it fixed. It's crazy the things that will interact and cause problems for each other. Thanks for the help.
