I use a samsung printer as my default printer. I also have a Dymo labelwriter 450 twin turbo.
When i print a lable on my dymo printer win 10 will set the dymo to my default printer which i obviously don't want.
I have "Let windows manage my default printer" set to off
What can cause that to happen ?

    Now that is strange.

If you disconnect Dymo and set default to Samsung does it take?

If you then connect Dymo does it transfer default back to Dymo?

Yes it that does take and when i hook up the dymo printer the default printer doesn't change it only changes the default after i print a label on the Dymo. If i print a document to a pdf it changes the printer to the pdf writer etc...

Sounds like you found a bug.

    Are you on 1909?

Now that you mention this some of my apps open with the last printer used instead of default. I'm on 1909.

Must check if this is a known error.

    Yes i am
I have a screenshot in my original post. I am sure that Bill Gates with his smurky smile is working on this as we speak. It probably keeps him up at night.

I very much doubt that, he is too busy spending money.

    Worth checking feedback hub

I just checked and did not see similar hits. I'm going to experiment some more.
