    Wireless network driver not working

    Hi

I just installed windows 10 from windows 7 and now my internet doesn't work. The rest of the computers in the house are working.

Error message: "There might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter or the local area connection adapter".

I use intellinet wireless which seemed to be working at first (the icon was red and networks showed up and connected) but the connection said limited and the internet wasn't working.

So I put the intellinet driver disk in and reinstalled the drivers. My desktop wallpaper turned green and a message said the driver was not recognized. I installed it anyway (stupid) and now the intellinet icon is grayed out and no network connections are visible.

    Any help much appreciated

    Right Click the Start Button.
    Click on Device Manager.
    Right click your network adapter.
    Click on Update Device Software.
Click on Browse My Computer For Device Software.
Click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
    (Optional) Uncheck 'Show compatible software.'

You may get lucky with this method.
You may try a generic driver that isn't listed as 'compatible.'

The compatible drivers don't work. How do you know which manufacturer to choose from? Which drivers are generic? Thanks

Have you tried letting Windows search for a driver? Try that, select "Search automatically for updated driver software".

What is the specific make/model of the wireless card you are using?
