okay i'm getting confused on that one. I thought Fat32 was less secure than NTFS and when moving files between fat32 and linux there are potential issues on files greater than 4GB

You folks are certainly leaps and bounds ahead of my curve. I appreciate the help, but please understand- if you want some help with punched cards, fortran, CPM or punched tape I can help ya out! Or even aligning a 10" floppy drive R/W head or replacing heads on a Data General 10 platter, 20 head, 20 MB "dishwasher" HDD- I'm your guy. Or even swapping out an engine on a '69 bug or manually switch inputting executive macro on an eclipse 140 mainframe! ..... The technology has changed so much it's a bit overwhelming to me as I have not kept up.

Well.... I'm not exactly sure how you would fit a 4GB file into a 334MB partition....
