    Partition utility

I am brand new to Win 10. I just did a clean install of Win 10 Pro onto a laptop and I need to partition the hard drive. Since my Win 7 came with a built-in partition utility I'm assuming Win 10 has one also but I just can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    It's the same one C:\Windows\System32\diskmgmt.msc

But others can be better. I use MiniTool Partition Manager - others are available.

Hi there and welcome to the forums.

Windows still has the same partition manager that Windows 7 had, so you probably know that it's not that great.

If I need to mess with partitions I tend to use the same as Try3 (his post literally appeared as I was typing!).

    Welcome to Ten Forums c1ogden.

Windows 10 comes with the same Disk Management tool as W7 had. Right-click on the Start (or use Winkey+X from the keyboard) button and select Disk Management.

What partitioning do you need to do?
