    Dear joeandmarg0,
I guess, to protect the battery you need a current limit when charging, one upper tension limit to avoid overcharging and a lower tension limit to avoid strong discharges. And this should be preferably built-in in the PC / tablet. The upper tension limit could be in the charger as well.
What did surprise me when I looked at the BatteryReport: After the decline of the full capacity the relative capacity was adapted - if you try to avoid a discharge below 10% you are then at 5% ! And there were charges above 100% !
The tablet will no longer be used. Lets hope there will be an answer of the client service soon.

A wise move. For one battery to overcharge and swell is not uncommon, for two in succession is disturbing. To Samsung's credit, they accepted liability and responsibility without a quibble.Thought there was more chance of meeting a Dodo than for that to happen.
Best of luck with your "answer".

Good news: the battery was replaced, to my knowledge on their charges. I just do not understand why it takes more than one month to get the permission to send it to the support center. Not acceptable for professional use!
I would like to thank all users for their suggestions, information and help. Thank you!
