I have a windows 7 home (64 bit) desktop and a windows 10 pro (64 bit) ver 1903 desktop. Can I pull the 350gb storage hard drive from the windows 7 pc and install it in the windows 10 pc (both pcs are SATA) without loosing any of the files on the hard drive. Can I just move the drive over and hook it up.
I know I might have to tell windows that I have installed another drive.

I'm assuming the "storage drive" has data ONLY and no Windows files at all.
I guess your Win 7 PC has 2 separate drives. Do you know for a fact that the Win 7 PC will boot if the storage drive is removed?
Take a look in Disk Management on the Win 10 PC after you've got the drive hooked up.
Storage drives can be moved PC to PC.
Any drive that is in RAID 0 should have its acceleration turned off before moving.
It only has files no OS on it. I am waiting on a caddy to mount it. I will let you know how it works out.

Just open storage places and set it up.
What will happen is you probably won't have any rights on the folders as they will be owned by 7 admin you will have to take ownership of folders
Will it's on me, turns out my old drive is a scsi. I just ordered a 1 tb sata and will move files over with a 16gb thumb drive. It will not take that long. Thank you all for your help.
SCSI is a really old technology but do be careful, some SATA drives or motherboards can identify as SCSI but it has been awhile since I've run into that.
