I could not open the file. To send a screenshot press PRT SC to save the image in memory (clipboard) and then open any application such as Paint and paste the image. Crop as needed and save as JPG or PNG. Then post it here using the relevant button.

@spapakons You can download the docx file, which I guess you have, then use a free office suite (e.g. Libre Office) or use a free online viewer - perhaps

The Device Manager screenshot is in the docx file.

That's weird! I run Microsoft Office 2010 at home which failed to properly open the file. Now that I tried it again at work (Office 2010) it opened fine! I see some Canon print queues and printer entries. Delete them all, make sure there is no Canon application in Applications and Features, unplug the USB cable and restart. Now install the Canon driver with right-click Run as Administrator and proceed. Connect the USB cable only when prompted to do so.

Like the previous poster suggested, unplug the USB cable from the printer and turn off the printer.
Start the installation of the drivers, watch the install windows VERY CAREFULLY as there will be instructions as to when you need to plug the USB cable into the printer and turn the printer on.
I ran into this exact scenario when I installed my printer after a Windows 10 Pro install (1909).
The printer ran fine but when I tried to use the scanner, no dice...
    Printer is Canon MG6820.

The only other thing I can suggest if that doesn't work is to turn your firewall off, turn off any anti-virus software, and then do the driver installation again following the install windows VERY CAREFULLY.
I had to do that step on a Windows 7 Pro PC in order for the scanner to work.

EDIT: Follow this link to see where I asked for help: Solved: MG6820 can't scan from the Operation Panel... - Canon Community

    Good Luck.

Don't forget to run the setup with right-click Run as Administrator. This will prevent failing due to access rights at the system folders.
