    Amd chipset question


    So I've got a question about the amd b450 chipset drivers;

    Should I install it directly from amd?
    Should I install it directly from MSI (the motherboard I have)?
    Or should I grab it & install it from both sources when a update is available?

    i did the chipset drivers on my X570 board directly from AMD.

    Ok so what are the differences between the 2?

    I noticed that msi's chipset driver is older... however it's 370MB compared to amd's 50.1MB chipset size.

    Absolutely nothing other than the one from MSI also contains a video driver, hence the size difference.

    As already mentioned, just get them directly from AMD. Same goes for the video card driver.

    AMD will, of course, have the latest drivers for their chipsets first.
    The OEM may take some weeks to offer the newer driver and update the website for your machine.
