Hi all,
I got a problem with drive D:. I was using my laptop yesterday and it was everything OK and after turn it on today I am missing drive D:. The point is that I didn't do nothing before I shut down yesterday. I was really surprised that it just disappear.
Anybody have any tips?
I'm using Windows 10 home, Version 1903, OS Build 10.0.18362

Welcome to the forum. We assume it's a physical drive and it's not showing up does it show in the BIOS? It's either stone dead or faulty port,cable , power lead reseat or change all them
Hi, agree with Samuria - just to add: you have a laptop (Lenovo? type unspecified). Does your laptop include two physical drives? Or a hard drive or SSD and a DVD drive?
Or was D: a partition on your single physical drive?
Please state what sort of item you expect 'D:' to represent. Thanks.

dalchina: It's Lenovo Y700-15. Yes my laptop include two physical drives. I am using drive 'D:' just only to keep photo's, movies and other documents.
Ok, you'll need to open your laptop and inspect it. It's unlikely it can have moved, but you can hope and try removing and replacing it and see if anything changes, and then test it in a USB caddy.
Do you have a backup?
That's a problem that I don't have backup. Anyway thanks for help and I will try to do something.
If it is a hard drive, it sounds like the drive may have failed.
I agree with dalchina, you may have to remove it and then test it in a USB enclosure. You can get them really cheap on ebay or in computer stores in your area, but I would go to ebay personally. You can also try Amazon as well.
