We are running a Ryzen 7, 3800x here on the stock Wraith Prism cooler and having 0 problems with it. My son games, and does video rendering. We were planning on replacing the cooler with an AIO liquid cooler down the road, but based on what we have seen thus far and noise levels, stock cooler is just fine.

Unless you are going to overclock and push this CPU, I don't really think a new cooler is going to net you much benefit.

We all agree the Prism is an adequate cooler - it's irrelevant here as the OP is referring to the the stock Stealth cooler - it's a poor performer under minimal load.

D'oh. My bad. I was thinking the R5 and R7 used the same cooler.

In my experience stock Ryzen coolers are just enough and can be noisy.
Indeed, I have replaced it, because I just like it quiet, fans at 1000rpm are too loud for me.

The problem is, that Ryzen 3xxx has much more smaller area, that can be cooled down, so the temperature can jump by 30C within a second, it causes a hell to PWM fans. But AMD says, that anything up to 90C is fine.

New data: Unfortunately, the place I will buy the parts from cannot bring Arctic coolers and I will have to get a cooler elsewhere. So, I am not restricted to specific brands.

Has anybody tried R5 3600 with an air cooler they can suggest?

I can find several good coolers, but I am asking for some user that has EXPERIENCE with 3600.

Once again, there's no need to know which CPU but it's true TDP. I know somebody that has that combination and he swears his temps never vent over 70c. Noctua makes some of best and quietest fans too.
