Change webcam resolution?
Is there any way I can lower the resolution of my USB webcam (Microsoft) in Windows, without using Microsoft's Camera app?

There's really only 2 ways to do it, one is with the Camera app on the Win10 Start menu and the other would be with software provided by the maker of the computer or the camera. The Camera app has a number of resolution settings available when clicking the 'gear' [cog wheel] Settings icon in the app such as for Photos and Videos.

I can't use the Camera app because it's a work PC and they many of the default apps, including the camera app and the windows store, disabled and I'm locked out of enabling them. And there doesn't seem to be an OEM software for it. Would a 3rd party app work?
The camera is a Microsoft Lifecam Cinema 1393.

If you have a valid reason for changing this, simply discuss it with your employer - The PC and it's camera does belong to them after all
