It is clearly labelled as a 3TB WD Green drive, but the suspicion is that it has been relabelled and is in fact a scam.
The label looks legit, so I think the internals were altered considering all other programs indicate a 240gig drive. And thus unfortunately some kind of rip off

What's interesting is I can't remember the last time anyone made a 240gig HDD drive so I'd have to wonder what those internals are

Probably need to look at the PCB side for a better clue as to what was done / what it actually is.

    Hi Hoolm

I am just curious. I had a look at your computer listed: ASUS H 270 PRO Hard Drives: 223GB Intel Raid 1 Volume (RAID )

Is it still functioning in RAID mode?

Is the computer that you got from the computer store - the one from which you are pulling out this 3TB/223GB different and a newly bought one?

On Restoring Factory Hard Drive Capacity

Hi @Hoolm, There has been no response to my previous post.

Well, when I saw that you have specified two 223GB drives in RAID in your Computer description. immediately I thought there should me some relation between the 3TB HDD showing 223 GB and your 223 GB RAID drives. ( The ASUS H270 Pro motherboard in your computer has two M2 slots for SSD and six SATA connectors and it is not clear whether you have SSDs or HDDs in there in RAID.But it does not matter.)

Did you or anyone else clone/image one of the 223 GB drives in raid? When this question came into my mind at once something else also flashed in my mind.

HDD capacity can be trimmed to any lower capacity through
HPA (Host Protected Area) and DCO (Device Configuration Overlay). Neither BIOS nor the system OS will see the deliberately hidden capacity and so the user .

"Some manufacturers (for example, Dell and HP) use DCO to reduce capacity for marketing needs. Example: they need to ship 1000000 computers with 40GB hard drives, but they only have 80GB drives in stock. They will use their own DCO tools to lock capacity to 40GB."

In such a case it is possible to restore the full capacity of the drive through software.

To know more just read this
Restoring Factory Hard Drive Capacity (Supported OS: 32-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista/2003)

The other software that can be used to restore the factory capacity are

    MHDD: HDDGURU: MHDD

HDAT2: HDAT2/CBL Hard Disk Repair Utility

I think your 3TB turned 223GB was dropped and killed but the above info should be helpful to you in future and also to others who read this thread.

    Good Luck.
