    Installation of HP desjet 6122

    Hi everyone
Has anyone worked out how to install an HP deskjet 6122 on Win 10?
It worked fine on Win 7 using the 990 deskjet driver workaround - albeit without any cartridge
head cleaning facilities. Still the printing was excellent. I have 2 of them so I would really like to find
a solution. Win 10 doesn't even recognize it as a printer.

Any help would be very welcome, thanks in advance.

That printer is more than 13 years old. Surely getting a modern printer would be simpler.

The printer is still working fine and OP still wants to continue using it without having to shell out for upgrades. Nothing wrong with that.

HP site has the latest drivers being Windows 7 for the printer model you provided. It should work in Windows 10. I have a network Dell 3010cn laser printer running Vista drivers.

The problem is solved. After some major different attempts I finally managed to make the o/s install the
HP 990 deskjet driver. Then alter the port to the virtual USB port and it works a treat. However unlike Win 7 I cannot
seem to rename the printer to 6122 , it offers no facility. The new thing is that it prints a blank page b4 any subject matter. A so called separator page - can't turn it off. I suspect there might be a registry key relevant to that? Does anyone know?
