Motherboard issue. Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H fm2+
Hi
hoped there would be a more dedicated forum than ‘General’ but couldn’t see anything appropriate to hardware faults..
My PC refused to boot up, I assumed the PSU had failed, got a replacement. Then found I could test the PSU with a jumper on the motherboard connector, found the original PSU was fine. Then suspected the power switch.....but then decided to replace the PSU anyway, keep the original as a spare. But after connecting everything up. I pushed the power button and the CPU fan spun for a few seconds then all went quiet. I unplugged the motherboard connector and refitted it, now it’s working perfectly.
i now realise all along, it was something to do with the Mobo connector from the PSU..
it is a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H fm2+ Motherboard. Not sure if this just something that happens, or if I am just unlucky. It’s 6 years old , hoped it would last longer.
any thoughts please ?
