Fixing Error 0x800701E3 on EXTERNAL WD Drive

Hi, I'm getting conflicting diagnostics results from testing a WD "My Passport 2TB" external drive after I started getting Error 0x800701E3 when copying files to it. Running chkdsk from the Tools properties option when right-clicking the drive says No Errors found. Same with the Quick Drive Testing from the WD Drive Utilities software. I can also format it no problem.

But the issue persists and the Error keeps happening. I tried the "Complete Drive Testing" from the WD Drive Utilities and it seems to be stuck at 10%...(it says it may take several hours to complete on high-capacity drive but its been at 10% for an hour now...)

Anything else I can try or is this drive ready for the graveyard of electronics?

    Well, patience paid off.
The "Complete Drive Testing" that I ran from WD Drive Utilities finally finished 6-7 hours later on this 2TB drive and reported success.
    Case closed :)
