    Bluetooth connectivity problem

    W10 1909

I have a cheap Bluetooth headset I use to watch Youtube, the computer I'm using is old laptop that originally came out with W7, so I don't know where the problem is could be either one. When booting up the pc, my phone auto connects (even though I never paired the two, they are still paired for some reason, but who knows I might use it), and it auto connects to the other computer in the house (which I did pair with). In the last couple months (while trying to get the money to get my new laptop fixed please don't ask my stupidity) I haven't had a problem with the headset. But last week, the headset started not connecting, and I could turn the pc BT off and back on and it would then auto connect. Then today no such luck would not connect for anything. I tried to remove device, but couldn't remove it either. I checked on line found where a lot of people were having same problem, so I followed those instructions:
    Airplane mode
    Device Manager
    show hidden
    remove device
    (disappeared from Device manager)
    Restart
    Headset already showing under Settings>BT
    wouldn't connect
    (Tried) Add device anyway
(won't re-add headset since it's already showing as paired, but still won't connect, going to Settings>BT then remove device, still won't remove device (that "procedure failed" is the only Windows notification) (other than Connection failed).

So does anyone have any ideas other than what I've already listed? I am having Youtube withdrawals LOL. I got the above procedure straight from the Microsoft Support website, I try to find answers myself when I can that's why I went there first, but came here because there too many people want to say "try what you've already tried" and then list the steps that you just listed, or get rude with you, or just play stupid. This is the best help site on the internet.

Here's the thread I got my instructions

No solution but I have just rehabbed a used HP Elitebook with Win7 Pro and see a similar issue with a Bluetooth mouse, infrequently connects. Have several BT mice, last 3 I tried were new out of the box. Their instructions say they support Version 3 of BT and it could be in my case the Notebook doesn't. I have other Notebooks running Win10 with Version 4 of the drivers and pretty solid performance.

Seems to be a common problem, that no one knows how to fix. Thanks for your response

Well, thanks to anyone that read, I appreciate you taking time to do that. For some unknown reason it just started working again. It's Windows, who knows why it does what it does. I'll let you know if it screws up again.
