Safely eject USB not showing and now sound when connecting device

There is no sound upon connecting/disconnecting any device, and Safely Eject a USB Device (I don't remember the actual name of the thing) doesn't show up at all - not even in Taskbar settings. I'm not sure when this problem started, but it's very annoying and can possibly lead to some issues. When manually going to the Safely Remove Hardware (via Win+R), nothing shows up at all. USB functions still work, and any connected device shows up and is able to be used properly. I have checked every USB for updates in Device Manager and all say they are up to date.

This is not my issue, my Action Centre is working fine with no problems. This is completely unrelated to my issue. Even after trying what is said there just in-case, it done nothing

That is because with the changes to how USB devices are handled, there is no longer a need to “Safely Eject” USB devices. All OS’s have gone this way for over a year now.

My laptop still has this, and my computer had this until just recently. As mentioned before, I am unsure when this started, but it was very recently.
The main thing I need is the connecting/disconnecting sound, as I have some things which like to disconnect randomly, en so I need to know when that happens

Thanks to this thread I just checked the Notebook I'm on now and the Safely Remove icon does not stay in the Notification Area after performing the removal of a Thumb drive.

For the randomness issues I'd check the Power Options that the USB ports are not being turned off in the name of power saving, usually more critical on Notebooks/Laptop when on battery-only than on Desktops.

Mine is never there, regardless of if there's something plugged in or not. It's like my computer is just saying it doesn't exist.

Not being condescending but have you clicked the little Up arrow at the left end of the Notification Area to see if it shows on the additional list? In right-click of the Taskbar settings one can go to Notification Area section, open the first item and, with a drive plugged in, assure that choice is on [turns blue].

Yes I have checked there, as that's where it normally would be.
There is nothing in the Taskbar Settings, at all, for it either.
