Realteak HD drivers + manager won't (un-) install

    Hello,

i've just bought a new Mainboard (Gigabyte AORUS B450 Elite), CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 2700x) and RAM (G.Skill Aegis 2x8GB DDR4-3000) and integrated it into my pc. I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64 v1903. Usually i used the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" for changing the settings of my headset.
The manager only installs from the original Realtek driver not from the ones given by the manufacturer. So i tried to install the original ones.

My Problem now is: The Setup starts, tries to uninstall the drivers, requests a restart. After that the setups starts again, detects the pseudo-removed drivers and wants to uninstall them again. Its an endless loop. I already tried following:

    - uninstall or update the drivers manually via the "device-manager". Nothing works.
    - disable "HD Controller" in the BIOS, but then i can't install the drivers (respectively they aren't installed after installation+restart)

Any ideas? I'm thankful for everything. :)

P.S.: I'm new to the forum. Sorry if i forget something.

Download Revo Uninstaller Free version. Run it and uninstall everything the program finds for those drivers. Reboot afterwards and then you should be able to reinstall the drivers.

Thanks for your answer. I downloaded and run the program. Unfortunately the drivers are still coming back after the restart. I think this guy summed up the problem precisely, although his solution is not working for me: RealTek Audio Driver install loop Windows 10 | g.fisk

Realtek HD Audio Manager is an obsolete software that is not compatible to 1903.

Install the new UAD driver that is provided by the motherboard manufacturer. And you will be able to change your audio settings with the new Realtek Audio Console app.

You can always try DDU as it has support for RealTek Drivers. Just make sure to run it in safe mode!

Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.2.0

Because HDA drivers aren't "obsolete" and are still being made, and maybe some people don't want UWP crap? Having a choice is nice - just like nVidia releases both standard and DHC drivers.

But his motherboard manufacturer doesn't provide an up-to-date HDA driver and won't support 1903 with it.

And this is his first post --- with no hint of how competent his tech skills are.

I struggle to see how you people are helping.
